Explore this magnificent region in the Indian Himalaya with me, Aghaghia, as your guide. I have spent the last 16 years conducting ethnographic studies in this remote community in Western Himalaya investigating human-environment interactions. Specifically, my work has focused on community conservation, social implications of climate change, and rural mountain livelihoods in remote communities in Kinnaur. My research explores the intersection of climate change, infrastructure development, and mass tourism to understand how the region confronts these issues on its resource base. 

I have made lasting friendships with many Kinnauri people holding this special place and its interesting stories in my heart. You will have many opportunities to speak with Kinnauri people in their homes and listen to their tales of the past and their dreams of the future.
