Come explore this magnificent region in the Indian Himalaya with me, Aghaghia, as your guide. I have spent the last 15 years conducting ethnographic studies in this remote community in Western Himalaya. Kinnaur sits adjacent to the Tibetan border with three grand mountain ranges, the Zanskar, the Great Himalaya, and the Dhaula Dhar Range, traversing through the region. The Sutlej River, with its source in Tibet, drains the valley. We will travel along this roaring and meandering waterway into Kinnaur, observing the lifeline of the region
